I woke up and felt kind of “off.”
It is kind of hard to explain, but I just didn’t feel like myself.
I just completed a long arduous sequence of work days, nothing extremely abnormal, but most of the days were full of challenges, moments of urgency and quite a bit of stress.
I haven’t been sick for years, but as the day went on I knew I was coming down with some kind of illness.
First came the “chills.”
Then chest congestion and a cough.
Then the fever kicked in.
This was early last week. I spent the next week or so laying around, trying to get my fever down, no appetite whatsoever, just wishing to feel better.
Good health is a true blessing. I think it is easy to take for granted. I know I am guilty of it for sure. You can eat right, you can exercise, you can do due diligence in terms of rest & recovery, but sometimes we are at the mercy of random factors.
As of today, (about 9 days since I first felt ill) I am finally feeling somewhat decent.
Still not much of an appetite.
Still feeling very weak.
And the scale is saying I am down nearly 10 pounds, but I decided this morning it is time to rebuild and start the path of recovery, so I did a workout very early this morning before work, very, very light, very brief, but I wanted to get in motion again.
I decided I will record my exact rebuild here in this blog. This will be the explicit reps & sets, and also the exact diet & any supplementation I utilize to not only repair & rebuild, but to also hopefully achieve new levels in the pursuit of health, aesthetics, knowledge & ageless shred!
Respect your body.
Treat it well.
Be grateful for each day we are healthy & strong.
This is my starting point from yesterday.
