Looking Back. Looking Forward.
I think I mentioned previously that I have been pouring over my very own training journals from years and years ago. Very interesting overall (I’m working on a new project, and these ragged paper journals, along with their sharp, digital web-based counterparts, have given me a volume of material to work with, consider, and to contemplate.) I have also been fortunate to monitor a wide-array and varied cross-section of population (clients, varying in age, sex, demographic, & life situation.)
Experimentation has been my focus for most of the last 4-5 years, but all good things must end. It’s been a fun and very educational ride.
While there is a plethora of excellent programming freely available on the inter-webs, there are still a lot of missing ingredients, fundamental flaws, unaccounted factors.
“Generic” programming, one-size-fits all, is a great start, an adequate starting template if you will, but generic programming is deficient of what we that live in the real world experience. (If you have read this far, also please beware of the trainer that puts you on His/Her personal training program.)—that is exactly what you don’t need.
Anyway, it is my intention, hope & privilege to shed some light on this topic in the very near future.
Health/Fitness goes hand in hand with Personal Enrichment and Development. In fact, they are extremely symbiotic.
The crazy thing that I have found, experimented with, and experienced, is that these principals, (while being extremely simplistic and basic,) may actually not be exclusive to the health/fitness sphere or realm.
They may very well be fundamental ideals and philosophies that you can apply to enhance any and every aspect of your life based upon your personal, individualized goals and aspirations.
Stay with me.
