This week’s value is Justice.
Justice is a term for the righteous systems that are set in place.
Countries, organizations, communities, families & even individuals have their own mores, rules etc. on what is just and what is not.
What may be considered ethical or honorable for some may actually be immoral for another.
In relation to our health & fitness it is much the same.
With the growing popularity of healthy living and emphasis on fitness, opinions are exceedingly espoused and concurred or debated in ways varying from amiable agreement to belligerent throw-down arguments.
What I purpose in this week is a bit of a break from the norm in following these values.
You will see and hear people completely invested in ideology in all arenas of this lifestyle, everything from diet approach, to training templates, to nutritional and supplementation aspects.
I think there is excellent value in modeling after someone that is getting the result that you are trying to achieve, but I also think that it is important to “go into the lab” and experiment for yourself.
Equally I think it is important to be able to change course when necessary.
As one old time trainer said “everything works, but nothing works forever.”
Keep an open mind.
And above all question everything!
