The Maximum/Moderate/Minimum/Micro/Manifesto VI (13 Weeks.)
Before we consider the reduced daily methodologies (minimum & micro.) I’d like to talk a bit about structure.
With the philosophy in place of figuring out exactly what you want your life to be about, writing the end of your epic adventure/story, living in accordance of not only your personal standards, values, and code, but also living a life that brings you abundant happiness, we must hammer away at and drill down to what exactly you want.
Most say happiness.
That is the goal isn’t it?
We hear this every single day from those around us.
“I just want to be happy.”
But, what is happiness?
I’m thinking that the answers to this particular question are the equivalency to the individual particles of sand on a mile-long stretch of a sunny coastal beach.
If you take a singular grain of sand and view it under a high-powered microscope, it would be unique to any other that you subsequently viewed. No two will ever be exactly alike.
This is also true of your goals and dreams in comparison to any other individual on the planet.
But, I ask again what is happiness?
When you are a child you know exactly what you want at all times. You know what will make you happy, even if it changes from day to day, even minute to minute.
As adults, we are distracted by our schedules, our time-clocks, our commutes, our bills, our bosses, our checkbooks, our “demands.”
Youthful exuberance provides an unlimited scope of opportunities and we don’t even want to go to sleep, and can’t wait to get started the next day.
We almost can’t contain our enthusiasm.
As adults we can’t wait to wind things down, have a drink or two, or more, watch the news, or a show, or movie, and finally be at peace, if it is even only for 5-8 hours of unconsciousness.
So what is the common denominator?
What is the prize?
What is the universal trophy that we covet?
Please stay tuned…………………………..
