I was thinking this morning about how daily heavy training brings balance to my life & mind.
I usually train well before the 7 a.m. hour, before the day’s work unfolds, always solitary, alone in a cold, quiet, basic basement gym.
Just the bare-bones, free weights, iron.
No machines, nothing fancy.
This is a sanctuary for me against all the world’s uncertainty.
I am not a religious man by the classic, or conventional sense, but there is something very spiritual and meditative about what I will call a true absolution.
There is an energy.
Every day pushing forward. Real & true work, fighting for progress, earned through grit, resolve & enthusiasm.
No enhancements, no doctors scripts, (or obtained otherwise) just earned experience, real food, real training, experimentation and continuous hard strategically imposed work.
Always striving to produce the best I can with what I have been given naturally, always an eye towards progression that is earned, respected, honored and appreciated.
