On Saturday this week I will turn forty-five years old.
Birthdays often are a point or period of reflection as to where you are in life and possibly where you may want to be.
In taking account of the important areas in life, I’m sure I’m like anyone else in that I am pleased at some, treading water at others and on life support in a few.
Breaking it down a bit further, in regards to the area of health & fitness it is absolutely no coincidence whatsoever that this area may be one of the strongest and most vital in life for me.
For the past 25 years this area has been one of time, priority, experimentation, trials, all sorts of errors and of most importantly, constant and continual attention.
I look at my peers and people of a similar age demographic and see some that are extremely successful in an area such as finances, but are in a very bad spot health-wise.
Some are very close with their families, friends and associates, but have not developed personally or spent time learning something new and exciting.
Some enjoy a very spiritual existence, but haven’t nurtured or even shut-out relationships that are so important in this human existence.
What you value most is often where you place your emphasis of time, commitment and effort.
Your values and what you value is truly your own experience and can be very difficult to change without a deep commitment and a definite want and need to change.
Your experience in this life is your own and what you make it.
I believe there is no right and wrong here, only your very own personal stamp and the footprint you want to leave on this planet.
Commit to what you want to be.
Accept what you need to change.
Focus on what you need to do.
