Free form thinking, and contemplating for a minute, I have always seemed to be a bit tough on myself when it comes to productivity.
Sure, there are always ways to improve, I have many flaws, but sometimes I (we) don’t recognize the tiny “wins” that are achieved daily.
If you are doing well, excelling, (or surviving) in some aspect, whether it is in business, athletics, relationships, whatever, it is because of your intended dedication, commitment, and devotion to the realization of a result, or possibly that you are simply showing up every single day, almost a compound interest-like accession.
Both can work.
I have seen examples of this in both a conscious, goal-fixated, targeted approach (Type A), and also a subconscious, more organic, flowing, showing up pathway (Type B.)
Possibly, the best way comes down to the individual and their personality, reality etc, or maybe it is beyond that and is situational.
At the end of the day, nothing wrong with a little recognition and tip of the hat to yourself for the little things you do.
Strive to improve what it is that you want to improve just 1% each day. This will change your life faster than you can imagine.
Something to think about.
