Great sleep last night.
I think I have mentioned Mondays the restaurant is closed, so it is a quasi-off day for me, but 99% of the time I find myself there for at least a few hours.
Afterwards, I sometimes sneak a quick 10 minute nap, and feel way better, refreshed. Mondays are the conclusion of my week.
I have found that generally people way overestimate activity (calorie burn), but almost always way underestimate calorie consumption.
Food trackers/apps are helpful, but not 100%.
Lets face it. Despite the “horrors” you see on your nightly news, we are living in very advantageous times.
All things considered, for most of us life is pretty easy. If you need further proof, just look back at what your grandparents day consisted of, or better yet, their parents.
As a species, we are biologically wired to seek the path of least resistance, which is excellent for survival, but detestable for the waist line. 😀
So, to circumvent, we need to think differently. We need to sidestep inclination, and seek out the uncomfortable.
This is a fine line, and an art and a science as well. We seem to thrive right on the edge of our capabilities.
The trick is figuring out what those capabilities are.
