I really dislike being away from the gym.
Not in an obsessive “all my gains will disappear” way (I used to be that guy I hate to admit), but more so that I just feel more myself when I’m strength training, more centered, focused.
It’s just a part of my day that is ingrained.
Health & fitness as a lifestyle concept has seemed to really changed.
Sometimes I wonder if some of those who are currently enthusiastic would still be if they had to train in a dark basement or garage without wall mirrors and just very basic free weight equipment, or if social media didn’t exist so they could give up to the minute updates and selfies (filtered no less.)
I’m thinking at least half would lose interest. 😀
Anyway, the last couple days I have focused on healing, eating at just about maintenance, pushing my fast to a bit later in the day (the body will heal quicker) and working on a few projects.
I actually was about 85% healed in the first 24 hours, probably 95% in 48.
Friday will be a fasted 2 mile run in the heat (and I will push this fast fairly far into the afternoon), and I may return to the weights either Saturday, Sunday, or at the latest Monday.
