We all have our weak spots. Maybe due to an old or current injury, maybe a structural thing, maybe an illness, or accident.
I’m not exactly sure how it happened, but somewhere along the way, I developed a little weak spot in my lower left trap area. Thinking back over the years, I have had various degrees of strains in this area, one significant, in which I didn’t touch a weight for a month, all sorts of things including a hit by pitch when I was about 9 years old. 😀
My Achilles Heel.
To be honest, almost every time that this flairs up, it is directly my own fault due to a lack of preparation (warm-up), or over-zealousness.
Chin-ups BWx5, BW+10×5, BW+25×5, BW+45×5
Dips BWx5, BW+25×5, BW+50×5 (whoops sometime around here I felt a little twinge)
Shook it off, paced around a few minutes, tried (unwise) and got 75×5, but then decided to shut it down.
Could of been any number of things, most likely several factors, but if I pushed further, I most likely would aggravate things further.
Stopping there, I had order day at work, which means lots of loading, stocking of moderately heavy boxes. I paced myself.
Nutrition: Decided to go full-blown refeed. Steak sub, baked cod, pizza etc.
